John 3: 16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Snow descending on the earth,
At the time of Jesus’ birth,
Covering everything in sight,
Yet lighting up the darkened night.
Trees look radiant in white fur coats,
There on a ridge are some mountain goats,
Icicles hanging from the window,
Ice near the door where you go into.

There’s plenty more up in the sky,
It is so cold oh why, oh why,
Yet look across the farmers fields,
For soon the crops there they will yield.

But in the twilight of the day,
I see the Christ child in the hay,
For he was born for all the world,
That’s what I see through snow unfurled.

So at this Christmas let’s be merry,
And celebrate a saviour’s love,
The snow comes quick it’s slow to go,
But Jesus’ love will always glow.
