John 3: 16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

I have some sweet old ladies,
Learning the tambourine,
I guess it’s just the funniest,
Thing I have ever seen.

Their arms are everywhere,
They nearly hit the chair,
They’ve lost their sense of balance,
It doesn’t seem too fair.

But we’re all getting older,
And do the best we can,
Although we’re over sixty,
God has us in his plan.

The exercise is good for all,
My ladies hear,
They really want to learn,
For that I give a cheer.

Joan’s learning very quickly,
She is my star pupil,
And is really coming on in leaps and bounds,
It makes her happy I have found.

One day we may play in the church,
To show that over sixties,
Still have some zip, also wit,
And they are very nifty.

There’s Helen and there’s Cissy,
And Joan and dear old Margaret,
All practising hard as can be,
To get up to the target.

We’re having lots of fun,
As they are going through their paces,
They’re trying to be serious,
But you should see their faces.

A giggle here a twitter there,
We go in fits of laughter,
When we come back to normal,
There’s tea for us just after.
