John 3: 16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

I’m sitting in the court house,
It’s doing in me brain,
I’m glad outside was sunny,
And there wasn’t any rain.

I don’t know why I’ve come here,
To give him my support,
But one way or another,
He’s bound to get sorted.

He’ll come out quite unhappy,
A saddened face he’ll have,
And then if he’s not careful,
He’ll be pulling out his hair.

The clerk of the court,
She called me in,
Why does she want me,
I thought with a grin.

They asked me a question,
To answer I did,
Richard didn’t like it,
And he flipped his lid.

Quieten down or you will be nicked,
I said shut up and the table he kicked,
They told him how much the money was for the fine,
He flew in a rage and nearly done time.

I explained to the judge that he wasn’t too well,
He said thank madam I think I can tell.
We came out of the court,
Then he had second thoughts.

And said he would make an appeal,
I simmered him down we walked into town,
It made him feel down,
Then he spoke of the way he did feel.
