John 3: 16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Let’s sit here in the park awhile,
Between us we can have a smile,
A squirrel’s just run up a tree,
Oh son if only you could see,

A tear came down from his father’s eye,
What would he do,
When dad was gone,
In the long by and by.

His son seemed to sense that something was wrong,
He squeezed his dad’s hand and the squirrel long gone,
Yes he went so quick he really is slick,
You don’t have to get upset dad,
It must be hard for you,
To be my eyes as we walk along,
Yet I know,
You’ll see it through.

And should you die tomorrow,
I’ll not be left alone,
There will be some one somewhere,
Who’ll take me in their home,
Then when they’re walking by my side,
And haven’t much to say,
I’ll then be able to tell them,
About the colour of the wind.
