John 3: 16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

My friend had hurt her ankle,
She’d given it quite a wrench,
A tear was in her eye,
As she sat down on a bench.

It’s hospital I must go I’m in a lot of pain,
We’re really glad it didn’t rain,
It’s alright getting in there, The problem is getting out.

Eventually she’s called they tell her to undress,
That has got her worried it’s caused a bit of stress,
Blood pressure taken, temperature done,
Time’s not to bad I think we have won.

Then all of a sudden a machine was brought in,
I looked at the nurse and said with a grin,
Why test her heart when the ankle’s not well,
The nurse said just routine you never can tell.

It seemed a long wait then the doctor arrived,
As foreign as foreign could be,
He spoke so quick the words passed me brain,
I think they went by on an electric train.

Nothing is broken an x-ray would be nice,
I wonder when he‘s eaten is japati and rice,
Pictures all done the doctor came back,
Ankle just sprained keep off you feet.

Don’t worry about the folk you don’t meet,
Then when you go walking you soon will be talking,
Return if it doesn’t seem right,
Whether it’s day or night.

A strap was put on by a good looking man,
He really did the best he can,
We came out of there and breathed in the air,
The time taken up wasn’t fair.
