John 3: 16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

If I had all that I want it wouldn’t be much fun,
But this way I find half a currant bun,
A little bit of butter and perhaps a little jam,
Oh goodness me within the fridge a lovely slice of ham.

And so I got me breakfast,
Me tea bag’s on a string,
I can save it for a drink with dinner,
What will that good Lord bring.

As the day went on,
I went to see my daughter,
She made a cup of tea,
Better than having water.

Before I left she said to me,
Would you like this for your tea,
There I saw a shepherd’s pie,
I asked her the reason why.

The children they don’t like it,
So why don’t you take it home,
And here’re some spuds to finish it off,
The Lord had provided I felt like a toff.

So when I wake up in the morning,
And start another day,
I know the Lord’s beside me,
Showing me the way.
